Carol's first major performance was at the MTV Launch in Bangalore (1996) where she performed alongside Slash of Guns & Roses. That year she performed with Shweta Shetty (one of India's
1997 brought Carol to the ICCR - the China Art Festival in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong-Kong and Chengdu. Her first national tour started in That same year Carol was privileged to perform with Stereo Nation during their tour of India. In 1999 she expanded her global experiences by touring Holland, U.S. and Canada with singer Kumar Sanu and Sri Lanka with Bavana. The year ended on a high as Carol partnered with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar to perform at the South Filmfare Awards. She went on another massive dance tour to the U.S., Canada, West Indies and London with Asha Bhosle and Adnan Sami in 2002.
Over the years Carol has performed alongside and shared the stage with several renowned performers, musicians & entertainers like AR Rehman, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, SB Balasubramanyam, Sukhvinder, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Jaffrey, Chitra, Sadhna Sargham, Colonial Cousins (Lezz & Hariharan), and STOMP, both in India and internationally (U.S. and Canada). Dance was not the only medium Carol explored: She was featured in 4 series of the yoga programme Fitness Plus on ZeeTV. The series, a big hit ran, successfully for over 2 years. She also hosted and anchored a yoga programme Fitness For You which has been aired in the U.S. and U.K.
She has since been back on the catwalk for Tony & Guy (TiGi), Levis and several Indian Fashion houses and has been featured modelling Rohit Verma Creations in the international fashion magazine La Mode. During the last 3 years she has also found the time to design and produce costumes for a U.S. based Dance Company called Naach.
With her wide experience in Dance, Acting & Modelling she took up a new challenge with the Musical The Merchants of Bollywood (MOB) in 2006. In the character of Ayesha Merchant she plays the lead role in this million dollar Australian production. She's been on the road with the MOB for five consecutive years and despite the intensive world travel and hectic performance schedule she's still going strong. Since the tour ended in 2011, Carol is now moving on to other challenges. |
